David A. Groom is the Founder of Groom Law Firm P.C. Mr. Groom has over 15 years of business, real estate and tax law experience. Mr. Groom's practice focuses on a variety of commercial and investment transactions, including but not limited to; mergers and acquisitions, real estate acquisition and development, partnerships, joint ventures, private offerings of securities, and corporate governance. These transactions have ranged from multi million dollar acquisitions to start up ventures in a wide variety of industries including; manufacturing, telecommunications, oil & gas, franchise operations, construction, technology, and real estate development throughout the U.S.
Mr. Groom has represented notable clients in these industries including, Mutual of New York, Day Star Oil & Gas, U.S. Bank, Qwest Communications, and the Denver Post.
Mr. Groom routinely assists clients with the formation and start up of new businesses ranging from franchise operations to independent ventures. In that capacity, Mr. Groom assists clients with choosing the correct entity, reducing taxes, protecting assets, preparing contracts necessary to operate the new business, reviewing franchise agreements, loan agreements, leases, and other contracts.
Mr. Groom has served as the Chief Legal Counsel for a venture capitalist and acquired a wide array of experience as an Associate Attorney in the tax, estate planning and transactional practice areas of several reputable firms. Mr. Groom's experience serving as legal counsel to both large and small businesses provides him with a unique understanding of the most complicated legal issues coupled with respect for the fact that each client’s legal budget and priorities vary based upon their particular industry and business goals.
Mr. Groom is also extremely versed in tax law. He has an advanced law degree in taxation and over 15 years of experience assisting clients with tax planning, estate planning and asset protection issues. Additionally, Mr. Groom has assisted a number of clients in establishing self directed IRA’s so they may invest in real estate and other non-publicly traded investments.

Tracy D. Groom manages Business Development and Operations for Groom Law Firm P.C. She is dedicated to providing exceptional client service and a firm culture that promotes the personal and professional growth of all team members.
Ms. Groom has over 16 years of professional experience in business development & operations, psychology, sales, and marketing. She has served as the Director of Sales, Marketing, and Business Development for both public and private corporations throughout the U.S. Most noteably, Ms. Groom has been recruited by several corporations to lead client development and organizational change management strategies for start up ventures and new business divisions.
Additionally, Ms. Groom has served as a fundraising consultant to a wide variety of corporations and non-profit organizations including; the John Elway Foundation, Fox Sports Celebrity Golf Classic, Colorado Youth at Risk Foundation, Colorado Technical Recruiters Network, Denver Telecom Association, House of Blues Denver, Universal Concerts, Career Expo of Denver, Denver Technical College, Devry Denver, Choose Austin First, and more.
Ms. Groom has also provided career & life counseling to a broad range of individuals and led team building workshops for several corporations and professional organizations. Additionally, Ms. Groom served as the Graduate Teaching Assistant Program Director for the Human Relations Department at the University of Oklahoma. She also developed and instructed a variety of college courses at the University of Oklahoma and Denver Technical College. In 1997, Ms. Groom was recognized by the Career College Association for "leadership of the most successful career counseling and development center in the industry".

Sarah Weldon

Ms. Weldon began her legal career as an Associate Attorney with the Groom Law Firm, P.C. following her graduation from the University Of Oklahoma College Of Law in 2007. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Weldon received her degree in History from the University of Oklahoma, where she was a National Merit Scholar and a member of the Oklahoma Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi.Ms. Weldon worked for Abercrombie and Fitch as a Store Manager.During this time, she was promoted three times and concluded her career in retail management by managing the second highest volume store in the state of Oklahoma.
In her capacity as a law student, Ms. Weldon dedicated herself to several legal advocacy programs and earned a number of awards for her exemplary work in this important area of the law. A brief review of her work is outlined in the following paragraphs.
Ms. Weldon earned three University of Oklahoma College of Law Merit Scholarships and she served as a Student Coordinator for the Students for Access to Justice Program where she gained valuable legal experience matching law students with, judges, non-profit organizations, pro bono opportunities, and a wide variety of government agencies. Due to Ms. Weldon’s outstanding work and advocacy of the pro bono legal process, she received the John B. Cheadle Award for her dedication to public service in the legal community.
Additionally, Ms. Weldon was recognized with an award for “outstanding performance by a law student” working in the University of Oklahoma Legal Clinic, a program which offers legal services to low-income individuals and families. Ms. Weldon had extensive client interaction, appeared at hearings, and achieved a favorable result for her client in a non-jury trial.
Ms. Weldon also volunteered at Cleveland County CASA, Inc. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) trains and supervises volunteer advocates for children who have been determined by the state to be deprived—usually children in the custody of the Department of Human Services and in foster care. Presently, in addition to her professional responsibilities as an Associate Attorney at Groom Law Firm, Ms. Weldon serves as a professional staff member at CASA as an Advocate Coordinator.

Brittany Gonzales is a multifaceted professional who serves the Groom Law Firm P.C. as Operations Assistant & Paralegal. Ms. Gonzales has over 14 years of experience in human resource management, bookkeeping, and operations support. She has been an integral part of growing and improving business practices for corporations in Austin and San Antonio, Texas.
Most notably, Ms. Gonzales was a valued member of a large (20 store) franchise organization in Austin, Texas where she was promoted several times. Initially, Ms. Gonzales served as the Administrative Assistant to the Operations Manager where she acted as a Departmental
Liaison and coordinated the company calendar, arranged conferences, seminars, meetings, and travel itineraries.
Due to her exceptional work ethic, attitude, and experience, Ms. Gonzales ultimately served the organization as a Human Resource Representative where she was accountable for training all new franchise managers regarding corporate operations and bookkeeping processes. In that capacity, Ms. Gonzales also managed the payroll for over 1500 employees, as well as, the compilation and analysis of individual franchise performance and financial reports. During this time, Ms. Gonzales also attended classes and achieved her paralegal certification.

Jessica Beavers

Ms. Beavers serves the Groom Law Firm, P.C., as a part-time Legal Assistant, devoting the rest of her time to completing her bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas, Austin. She has participated in a wide range of volunteer experiences, all focused on providing fundamental quality-of-life assistance to populations unable to help themselves.
During an internship with the American Civil Liberties Union, Ms. Beavers became an active member of the ACLU Legislative Team, where she was responsible for writing fact sheets alerting elected officials to the needs of mentally ill prisoners. She also took responsibility for writing a testimony outlining the defects within the Safe Prisons Program, with the goal of curbing the occurrence of brutality in the Texas prison system.
